What happens when you invite a buyer

Invite a buyer into Sill, learn when the active agent relationship starts, and see how buyer choice and marketplace offers work alongside your CRM.

Updated

Share your agent link or code with someone who is still exploring. When they complete onboarding through a valid invite, an active agent relationship starts right away and your CRM shows the buyer's full financial profile. The buyer can change what they share or disconnect at any time. A signup that does not complete onboarding through the valid invite does not create that active link.

What the active relationship means

The active link appears in your CRM as soon as onboarding through the valid invite is complete. While that same-role agent link is active, other agents cannot discover the buyer through Browse buyers or send an agent-initiated direct offer to that passport. The buyer can change sharing in Settings or disconnect the link at any time.

The buyer stays in control

The buyer can still browse agents and choose to request a standing offer or accept an eligible offer already in their inbox. They can disconnect or choose another agent. Sill does not lock a person to the agent who invited them. Keep the relationship by showing clear service commitments and following through, not by relying on the invite as a restriction.

Make a useful offer to your prospect

Use the two-way CRM to understand the buyer's stated timeline and any updates they chose to share. When appropriate, explain your service and offer terms. A buyer may choose to formalize or renew the relationship with you through an offer. The same consent and record of the accepted terms apply; neither a referral code nor an agent note accepts an offer for the buyer.

An agent-invited buyer's connection fee is $0 only if the buyer is still actively linked to you as their agent when the marketplace connection is made; a past invite alone does not waive the fee. Other connection fees depend on the buyer's verification tier and the direction of the offer. Review Buyer tiers and connection fees in Help and the live schedule in your Pro account before making an offer.
